PLANE LANDS ON PARKWAY.........

As reported in the local daily paper, Rylan Dunn had a Mother's Day to remember this past Sunday.
On his way to visit his mother in Courtney, the 25 year old pilot experienced engine failure shortly after leaving Nanaimo Airport.
He was forced to make an emergency landing in the southbound lane of the Nanaimo Parkway. Fortunately, traffic was light with only one truck in the lane.
Passersby stopped and helped push the plane to one side of the Nanaimo Parkway. The plane was later towed back to the airport under police escort.
It is not reported if he still got to see his mother.
