YOUR OWN PRIVATE WATERFRONT FOR FREEAs you can see you would practically have the whole beach to yourself with less than 20 people present.
So, why do you think that is the case? The city has spent considerable money installing nice new crosswalks complete with areas to be planted. It does of course, burn up about 12 parking spaces, but that was hardly the problem this day.
Is it because there are no lifeguards on duty? Is it because it is saltwater and more people prefer fresh?
Is it because there is very little sandy areas? Or is it simply because everyone in Nanaimo, this fine day, had left town?

In the meantime if you want to feel like the rich and famous, there is a great beach you can have almost, all to yourself, for free!
