JUMPERS RAISE MONEY
FOR SCHIZOPHRENIA SOCIETY
About 200 spectators gathered over the weekend at the Bungy Zone, south of Nanaimo, to witness 80 people get naked to raise money for this cause.
People came from as far away as New York and Wisconsin to witness what has become an annual event.
Last years event raised about $4,000 for the society and hopes this year to double that amount.
What originally was a clever publicity stunt has now evolved into this annual fundraiser. As witnessed by the low number of spectators the event hardly gets the press it once did. Perhaps people realize, once you see one naked person, you have pretty much seen them all!
