PLANE MAKES EMERGENCY LANDING

PRIVATE AIRCRAFT
FORCED TO LAND

It is reported that a private aircraft carrying the pilot and one passenger were forced to land in a field south of Duncan Sunday morning.

Apparently there were problems with the oil pressure on the plane which was enroute from Victoria to Nanaimo.
There was mininal damage and no injuries in the mishap.
This incident follows close on the heels of the near crash of a West Coast Air flight last Monday, as the pilot aborted his landing and clipped tree tops in his attempt to 'go around'.
