TORONTO FIRM BUYS MORE NANAIMO RETAIL SPACE

FIRST CAPITAL REALTY INC. ADDS
LONGWOOD STATION TO ITS
NANAIMO HOLDINGS
It is reported in the local press that Toronto based First Capital Realty Inc. has added Longwood Station to it's list of Nanaimo retail holdings.

In addition to Longwood Station the company already owns Port Place Mall, Terminal Park Shopping Center and Woodgrove Shopping Mall off of Mary Ellen Dr. They are also negotiating with the City of Nanaimo for the 15,000 square feet of retail space in the new convention center, Port of Nanaimo Center, due to open this spring. If successful they will begin plans to lease the retail space to interested businesses. The Port of Nanaimo Center retail space is said to be worth about $4 million.

A company spokesman said they feel Nanaimo is a positive business environment and they expect a lot of growth in the next 10 - 15 years.
