In what is being billed as a move to improve employee safety, BC residents will have to pay for their gas before they fill up their vehicles.PUMPING IN BC NOW
I usually fill up at Save On at Terminal Park, and am told I will have to estimate the amount of gas I will need, pay for it in advance and then pump my gas. If I have overestimated, I will then have to go back to the clerk who will refund me the amount overpaid. If I think I still could use some more gas, I will have to go back and estimate again.
I was told they will not be putting in the credit card machines at the pumps as that is quite expensive.
At first blush this looks like an emotionally conceived piece of legislation, which will cause far more upset than problems it will solve.
