Petro Canada is Only Marine FuelDock in Nanaimo
With the closure last year of Brechin Point Marina by Esso, boaters are left with only one fueling option in Nanaimo. That is the Petro Canada marine fuel dock in the Boat Basin downtown.
It remains to be seen what kind of congestion this may cause for local and visiting boaters during the coming boating/fishing season. The owner of the Petro Canada marine fuel dock says they are taking steps to help avoid problems.
One of the new policies will to no longer allow boaters to do oil changes while tied up at the dock. Also anyone wishing to take advantage of the free water fill up will have to wait if their is a line up for fuel.

Hours of operation Oct. - May 1 - 8:00 am - 5:00 pm, May 1 - June. 20 7:00 am - 7:00 pm, June 21 - Oct. 1 - 6:00 am - 8:00 pm..
The fuel dock sells mid grade gas and diesel, propane exchange bottles, ice, small convenience items, tide tables, fishing licences and bait. You can call 250-754-7828 for more information.
