Third New BC Ferry Sails from Germany Friday


Coastal Celebration, the third and final new Coastal Class vessel, will depart FSG Shipyard in Germany on Friday, May 9 en route home to B.C.

On May 12, Coastal Celebration will make a special promotional stop in London, England to invite Londoners to the Vancouver 2010 Olympic and Paralympic Winter Games and to promote tourism in British Columbia.

Coastal Celebration’s voyage home will take approximately 45 days, depending on weather, and will include stops for refuelling in Las Palmas, Canary Islands and Cristobal, Panama before transiting the Panama Canal and sailing up the west coast of North America to British Columbia.
BC Ferries looks forward to celebrating the arrival of its newest ship in B.C. waters in late June.
