Port of Nanaimo Centre Opens

Stone Mural Showpiece

Commissioned by ITC this $140,000 Stone Wall is the artistic expression of local artist/stonemason Andreas Kunert. It graces the entrance lobby from the Gordon Street entrance.

It is also on Gordon Street that you access the 307 stall underground parking which is brightly lit and obviously a most convenient place to park.

Nanaimo now boasts Canada's newest full service convention centre with a list of features that are second to none. There is full wireless access and digital way-finding and outstanding global broadcast capabilities.

The 38,000 square feet of convention and meeting space can accommodate groups of up to 1300.

The centre is also the home to the 200 seat Shaw Auditorium which is where city council meets now and also the new Nanaimo Museum as well as 15,000 square feet of retail space.

Come on Nanaimo..... get the word out. We have a Convention Centre to be proud of, so let's invite the world to come and discover what we already know.

Nanaimo is the Harbour City.... Growing Places!!!!
