DON'T OVERLOAD AN ELEVATOR

PEOPLE STUCK IN OVERLOADED ELEVATOR
FOR THREE HOURS

The local Nanaimo Bulletin paper reported that fourteen people found out why squeezing into a nine person elevator is not a good idea on Saturday.

As a result of the overloading the elevators brakes came on stopping the car between floors for three hours.

Firefighters had to be called to rescue the people and were hampered by the fact they could not locate the building manager quickly.

No one is reported hurt in the incident in a high rise building on Chapel Street, but I am sure they got to know each other real well by the time their ordeal was over.
