Nanaimo To Vancouver Airport Via Bus

BC Ferries and Pacific Coach are pleased to announce the launch of a regularly scheduled bus service connecting Nanaimo to Vancouver International Airport (YVR) via BC Ferries’ Duke Point – Tsawwassen route.

Pacific Coach will provide passenger bus service on four sailings per day from both Duke Point and Tsawwassen terminals Thursday through Monday. The introductory rate for this new service is $39 each way, including ferry fare.

“BC Ferries and Pacific Coach are teaming up to provide convenient, direct passenger transportation between Nanaimo and YVR,” said Dan Wong, BC Ferries’ Vice President of Corporate Development.

“Currently, Nanaimo area residents either fly to YVR or take their own vehicle to the international airport,” said Darian Tooley, Pacific Coach’s Director of Sales and Marketing. “We are proud to offer an affordable, environmentally-friendly alternative on a comfortable coach.”

Pick-up and drop-off locations in Nanaimo are at the Woodgrove Centre, Country Club Centre and Prideaux bus exchanges. On the Metro Vancouver side, passengers can join the Pacific Coach buses at YVR and travel directly to BC Ferries’ Tsawwassen terminal.

    My family used this bus route two years ago to get to my parents' place in Nanaimo, and it was fantastic. I hope that Pacific Coach will consider reinstating this service - even if it was one bus per day, or a few per week - during the high season.
