"FARMERS" MARKET ENJOYS GREAT SUCCESSThe Bowen Road Farmer's Market has outgrown it's space at the co-op building on Labieux Rd. and is now located at the VIEX grounds behind Beban Pool.
This Farmer's Market is based on providing 80% food vendors and only 20% artisan products. So unlike some markets using the name 'farmer's' which actually offer very little food products, this market actually has some real farmers present.
The market is open on Wednesday afternoon from 4:00 - 7:00pm and enjoys a good following of the faithful who line up 30 minutes in advance to get the best selection of their favourite foods.
There is lots of local produce, baked goods and seafood available which draws a good crowd. You can also find a selection of organic meats and vegetables if you are so inclined.
This is a good 'stop' to put on your calendar if you appreciate farm fresh produce and oven fresh baking.
It should be noted that the picture above was taken around 6:30 pm and is not representative of the crowds earlier in the day.
