You can check out the downtown Farmers Market today, beside the Bastion. Catch a cannon firing at noon, visit the Bastion and then take a stroll along the ever changing waterfront.
Of course the acres and acres of Nanaimo Parks are lovely to explore this time of year and the miles of beaches always yield their rewards. So be sure to include the great outdoors in your weekend plans.
