NEW FACES ON NANAIMO CITY COUNCILTonight will mark the Inaugural meeting of the newly elected City Council at 7:00PM in the Shaw Auditorium in the Port of Nanaimo Center.
Mayor John Ruttan will join new Councillors Diane Johnstone, Jim Kipp and Fred Pattje. It has been reported that a family emergency will keep Pattje from attending.
Among many issues facing the new Council will be the matter of the hotel deal with Millenium Corp.
Tonights meeting will be broadcast on Channel 4 for Shaw Cable customers. It is unknown if the streaming video will once again be available on the City of Nanaimo website.
