International Paralympic Committee World Cup Mount Washington March 11 -14

120 PARALYMPIC ATHLETES
HOSTED ON THE COASTAL RENAISSANCE

BC Ferries hosted 120 Paralympic athletes Sunday as they travelled from Horseshoe Bay to Departure Bay en route to Mount Washington to compete at the 2009 International Paralympic Committee (IPC) World Cup.

BC Ferries is proud to support these elite athletes, who represent over 20 nations that are participating in the IPC Cross Country Skiing and Biathlon World Cup.

All three of BC Ferries’ Super C-class vessels are decked out with giant photographic images of Canadian Olympic and Paralympic athletes. The Coastal Renaissance, the vessel that these world class contenders sailed on is wrapped with an image of Canadian Paralympic sit-skier, Jeff Penner.

BC Ferries wishes all the Paralympic athletes success at the IPC World Cup, which runs from March 11 – 14 at Mount Washington on Vancouver Island.
