22nd Year Nanaimo Art Gallery'sFestival of Banners
This years theme is 'Oceans Alive' for the 2009 festival of banners.
Designed and hand painted by children, youth and adults, these colourful artworks line the downtown streets and waterfront from May to September every year. Take a walk along Wesley Street to Fitzwilliam Street, down to Commercial Street and on to Front Street, then the Harbourside Walkway, and enjoy the creativity of our community in all its diversity. The Banners extend all the way from South Nicol Street to Departure Bay.
Entry forms are now available for pick up from either gallery (downtown or campus) or downloaded from the PDF link.
Also if you did not get your 2009 banner calendar the leftovers are available at either gallery for half price ($10)! Hurry before they are all gone.
