Cable Bay Developer Gets Wishes

City Council Allows 'Resort' Designation

City Council voted to allow the 21 hectare site adjacent the Cable Bay properties to be changed from Industrial to Resort Centre.

The approval clears the way for the developer to proceed with plans for a 1800 home development, a golf course and a possible 600 boat marina.

This is just one of the first hurdles the developer has overcome who is a long way from having final approval to proceed with the development which is said will add a considerable benefit to the City by having the land occupied by taxpaying homeowners.
