Know Your Riding

The Nanaimo Area Ridings
Boundary Changes This Year

If you are still not clear on how the ridings have been changed for this election you can view a map of the areas by using the following links.

Nanaimo Electoral District Map click here.

Nanaimo -North Cowichan District Map click here.

Parksville-Qualicum District Map click here.

If you have not made yourself familiar with the new boundaries in Nanaimo and you live either in the south or north parts of the city, you need to see if you actually vote in the Nanaimo District.

For example the southern boundary for the Parksville-Qualicum riding comes to Rutherford Rd. While the Nanaimo-NorthCowichan boundary is bounded by 5th St.

If you are in doubt be sure to check the maps and refer to the yellow voter registration card you should have received in the mail if you are already registered to vote.

If you are not already registered to vote be sure you have the proper identification with you when you show up to vote. A complete list of acceptable identification is available at www.elections.bc.ca or 1-800-661-8683.

Be sure to do your civic duty by knowing the issues and casting your ballot for whomever you think is the best candidate/party for the job.
