Ron Cantelon MLA Not In Cabinet
The new cabinet of Premier Campbell which has grown from 22 to 24 will not include Ron Cantelon MLA for the newly created riding including some of north Nanaimo and Parksville and Qualicum.
Cantelon had been the Minister in charge of Agriculture during the last term of the Campbell government. Presumably Cantelon, being a member of government, will still be able to well represent his constituents although it would seem he is no longer a part of the 'inner circle'.
Editor's Note: I have often wondered how any member of government at any level can ever really learn how to do a job when they keep getting bounced around from one post to another. Ahhh democracy, as Churchill said; it's the worst form of government . . . . . . except for all the others! :^)
