Such A Wonder They Are

It is amazing how such a perfect little person (who is as perfect as we ever get) can bring about such changes in just one day.

Why just yesterday I was just that old guy you wouldn't give a second thought to and my wife, while commanding more attention is still quite ordinary.

Yet in one single day, with one small persons appearance, we ordinary folk can suddenly become 'Grand' ! Isn't it wonderful!

In case you have not followed my rambling, today at 5:44am my son and his wife presented my wife and I with our first grandchild, weighing in at a respectable 9 lbs. one ounce and all of 22 inches long. Forgive the imperial, but that's the way I think.

I realize that all Grandparents say their grandchildren are absolutely perfect, but in this case, I am not exaggerating one little bit. She is perfectly formed and perfectly at peace, and she has managed to take two very ordinary people and turn them into Grand people in but a moment.
