Have A Great Thanksgiving Weekend

This autumn colored oak leaf gently floats to the ground as it's host prepares for the coming winter months. Courtesy local shutterbug Sheryl Falls.

The fall colours in Nanaimo don't rival the spectacle of the eastern hardwood forests at this time of year but still put on a dazzling display as summer yields to fall and fall prepares for winter's rest.

Nanaimo's ever changing waterfront always provides a relaxing oasis from the cares of daily life. There is nothing that quite settles the soul as a quiet stroll along the waterfront.

Be sure to make the most of the promised good weather, as sadly, next week promises to be far more like a west coast fall than what we have been experiencing. The weatherman is actually talking about some of our infamous liquid sunshine, so be sure to enjoy the sun while you can.

It is easy to make a list of things we can be thankful for by simply spending and hour or two in our great outdoors.
