Performing Arts and Youth
An article in the Times Colonist reports that Prime Minister Stephen Harper surprised everyone except his wife with his performance at the NAC Gala at the National Arts Centre in support of Canada's performing arts and youth.
The Gala raised $575,000 for the National Youth and Education Trust and was chaired by the Prime Minister's wife, Laureen Harper for the fourth year.
The audience of some 2300 people gave the PM a standing ovation and loud cheers for his rendition of the Beattles 'With a Little Help from My Friends'.
