That's Mt. Benson You Are/Are Not Looking At

Fall Weather Returns To The Wet Coast

A few mornings ago you could see snow on the top of Mt. Benson, now, in more typical fashion you can't see the top of Mt. Benson.

As the old saying goes "if you can see the very tops of the mountains, it is going to rain, if you can't it already is".

The weather office has issued both a rainfall and wind warning for the east coast of Vancouver Island (that's us) for the rest of today and into tomorrow. They think we can expect additional rainfall of from 30 - 90 mm and expect winds up to 70 km/h during the same time.

There is also a flood warning issued due to the large amounts of rain we have experienced in the last 24 hours or more. So if you live right beside a river, you might want to put the good furniture upstairs! If you are like me, check that the sump pump in the basement is working as it should be and now you will see the trouble of not keeping your gutters free of leaves and other debris.

You will also see the wisdom in replacing those marginal wiper blades on the car.

I guess the worries of not enough rain during out long hot summer can now be put to rest, as water reservoirs get filled back up.

As we are known to brag to our eastern friends "at least you don't have to shovel it".
