TOY DRIVE NEEDS YOUR HELP

Santa Says:
"Help the Great Nanaimo Toy Drive"

So far there are about 1250 kids registered for help from this charity who would be aided by your generosity. Last year the drive helped put smiles on 1,007 children's faces ranging from infants to 17 years old.

You can help by donating a gift you have purchased or cash is always welcome, you can also volunteer your time for distribution on Dec. 21 - 22.

There are collection boxes in the malls, three city fire halls, the Port Theatre, Three Point Motors, Laid Wheaton Pontiac, Walmart and Zellers.

Teens are actually the ones making up the largest group of recipients and suitable gifts for this age group are often scarce. If you would like to brighten a teen's Christmas some suggestions would include skateboards, hoodies, sweats and all kinds of electronics (MP3 players and the like).

If you have not registered for help this season, late registration is possible on Dec. 22 between noon and 1:00pm at the old Harewood School gym at Fifth St. and Harewood Road.

To volunteer for a four hour shift to help out this event please call Jo MacIntosh at 250-753-9292.
