These REUTERS photos published in the Toronto Star show the awesome magnitude of a volcanic eruption the size of the current eruption in Iceland.
Air traffic throughout Europe has been thrown into turmoil as the huge ash cloud has grounded aircraft since aircraft cannot simply 'fly through' such a cloud as the abrasive ash causes engines to stall among other things.
Just goes to show that anything man can do, nature can do better!
