Nanaimo Great Canadian Shoreline Cleanup

Join the Great Canadian Shoreline Cleanup
September 18 - 26 2010

Last year 2,457 km of shoreline were cleaned, collecting a total of 160,914 kg of litter removed. 

The top five items were:
  • Cigarette butts 367,010
  • Food Wrappers 116,138
  • Plastic Bags 74,276
  • Caps & Lids 63,471
  • Cutlery & Dishes 40,799
