Prices Up By 10%
Total number of homes sold in Nanaimo for the month of March 2010 numbered 119 which is a 47% increase over the 81 units sold in Feb. 2009.
The average selling prices edged up a total of 10% year to year from $334,324 in 2009 to an average price of $368,610 in March 2010.
The prices on Vancouver Island seem to have not been subject to the same swings as other areas of the country. Nanaimo prices are not that far off their peak of $379,291 reached in Nov. 2008.
