Nanaimo Crafter's Market Greets Cruise Ship

Downtown Farmer's Market Crafter's will be on hand tomorrow, May 19 to welcome visitors to Nanaimo from on board the Radiance of the Seas cruise ship. The market will be open from 10:00am - 3:00 pm.

Why not come down and greet our guests, and support local crafters at the same time.

The Radiance of the Seas is the second large cruise ship to visit Nanaimo this season and will be in port tomorrow in Nanaimo harbour. Visitors will be shuttled ashore using the ship's tenders (small boats for us landlubbers).

For those interested in such things the Radiance of the Seas has been sailing since March 10, 2001, can carry 2,501 passengers, is 962 feet long, 105.6 foot beam and has a draft of 26.7 feet cruising at 25 knots.

Some of the ship's highlights include; rock climbing wall, casino, pool tables, day spa and fitness facility, golf simulator, sports courts and of course all kinds of restaurants and lounges.
