Prices Up By 4%
Total number of homes sold in Nanaimo for the month of April 2010 numbered 123 which is a 3% increase over the 119 units sold in April 2009.
The average selling prices edged up a total of 4% year to year from $352,471 in 2009 to an average price of $367,805 in April 2010.
The prices on Vancouver Island seem to have not been subject to the same swings as other areas of the country. Nanaimo prices are not that far off their peak of $379,291 reached in Nov. 2008.
