McDonalds Recalls Shrek Glasses

 Shrek Glasses Recalled By McDonald's
12 Million Glasses In Recall

In what McDonald's spokesman call 'an abundance of caution', the food giant is recalling 12 million glasses tied to the latest Shrek movie.

The danger is the fact the paint used on the glasses contains cadmium which is a carcinogen which could seep out of the paint over time and poses a particular hazard to children.

The glasses which sold for $2 each bear the images of Shrek, Donkey, Puss in Boots and Princess Fiona.

Comment: You have to think these manufacturing companies know by now, that lead and cadmium paints are just not the thing to use on drinking glasses etc. Of course these may come from the same fine country that put Melamine in it's own milk products!
