Prices Up By 14%
Total number of homes sold in Nanaimo for the month of May 2010 numbered 125 which is a 1% increase over the 124 units sold in May 2009.
The average selling prices edged up a total of 14% year to year from $341,462 in 2009 to an average price of $388,497 in May 2010.
The prices on Vancouver Island seem to have not been subject to the same swings as other areas of the country. Nanaimo average house prices have now surpassed their peak of $379,291 reached in Nov. 2008.
