Up By 7% Over '09
The average selling prices edged up a total of 7% compared with June 2009 to an average price of $362,018 in June 2010 from the average in June 2009 of $337,993. The number of units sold however, declined by 28% from a total of 159 in June '09 to 115 in June '10.
The prices on Vancouver Island seem to have not been subject to the same swings as other areas of the country. Nanaimo average house prices are still below their peak of $379,291 reached in Nov. 2008.
