12 Year Old Arrested For Armed Robbery

On Tuesday, August 10, 2010, at approximately 11:29 am Nanaimo RCMP received a call of robbery at gun point in the area of Terminal Avenue and Nicol Street. The victim had been getting out of a vehicle when two males on bicycles approached him and one of the males pointed a gun and demanded the victim’s cell phone and other items. The victim was able to call 9-1-1 and provided detailed descriptions of the suspects. Patrols were made in the area and one 12 yr old male matching the description was arrested. The victim was not injured in this however was quite upset at having a gun pointed at him.

The boy will be appearing in Nanaimo Provincial Court this morning. Police are concerned as they have already had over 100 dealings with this 12 year old child.

Enough Is Enough!
If you think this type of criminal should not just simply be turned loose on the public over and over again let the Attorney General Of BC know your feelings. Also contact your MP and MLA and let them know it is about time society was protected from this habitual repeat offender regardless of their age.
