$3.00 For A Litre Of Water !

They Must Have Seen Me Coming!

On a recent outing the missus and me stopped at a concession to quench our thirst since it has been such lovely warm weather in the Harbour City. I asked for two bottles of water (which I never buy) and thought nothing of parting with $3.00 for the two 500ml bottles. Enjoyed them and they quenched our thirst.

It was only today when I got a flyer in the mail from a local supermarket advertising the exact same brand of water and bottle size for $2.99 for 24 bottles that a little light came on over my head.

The same two bottles would cost 24 cents from the supermarket as opposed to $3.00 from the concession. I then figured I had paid $3.00 a litre for water which flows for free from the tap and actually cost nearly 3 times the cost of gasoline.

I know I did not send a letter ahead, so they must have seen me coming! Perhaps it was the camera and floral shirt!   :^)
