Free Blues Concerts In Maffeo Sutton Park
The weather co-operated for both days free concerts in Maffeo Sutton Park. Reports are there were great crowds on Saturday and on Sunday shortly after noon you couldn't find a parking spot in the park.
Today's performance goes through until 6:00 pm with Foreign Influence, Nanaimo Blues All Stars, Lazy Mike & Rockin' Recliners, Glen Foster Group, Renovation Blues Band and McKinley Wolf rounding out today's offerings.
The event is sponsored by the Nanaimo Blues Society, Headliners School of Performing Arts, Long & McQuade and the City of Nanaimo.
The next Summertime Blues is planned for next Aug. 26 - 28 2011 after taking this year off allowing the Nanaimo Blues Society to examine it's future options and develop a business plan for the event.
