Fall Edition CANCELLED
Due to ongoing construction at Beban Park Social Centre this popular event is being cancelled. It was to have been held on Saturday Oct. 2 at the Social Centre.
In a press release Brian Sugiyama, recreation coordinator for the city said they understood what a disappointment this is for all involved and that the decision to cancel was not easy to make. The city is also committed to accommodating people that have booked tables at the June event. The next Mothers Day event is scheduled for Sat. June 18 2011.
Mr. Sugiyama said the city simply did not have the room to accommodate the event elsewhere.
Comment: Too bad, there is not a great big building sitting downtown not being over utilized!
