Nanaimo Parks, Recreation and Culture is inviting public input to establish future improvements and long term direction for Naniamo's Neck Point Park.
The current master plan for the park has been in place since 1999 and states that the park is to be: “a quiet waterfront park which offers opportunities to enjoy and appreciate the unique natural attributes of the site through restoring and maintaining the natural habitat values for present and future generations.’ In recent years, the park has been experiencing increasing recreational use, demands for off leash dog areas, and special event bookings.
Display materials regarding the potential park improvements will be available for public comment at the open house this Saturday at the park.
