On Friday Sept 17, a man had been looking after his friend’s poodle in the 800 block of Bruce Ave. At approximately 6:00 pm. he observed an unknown male enter his yard and call the dog to him. The suspect then took the dog and put it into his newer model, red, 4 door car. The poodle answers to the name Mitzy and is described as a black standard poodle, short haired, well looked after and is 12 yrs old.
The suspect is described as caucasian male , 5'10', heavier set, and balding.
Anyone having information on this crime is asked to contact Nanaimo RCMP at 250-754-2345 or Crimestoppers at 1-800-222-8477.
