Liberals Take Tax Break Off The Table
Seems, that since bribing us with our own money did not improve the Premier's political fortunes he has decided to go back on his word once again.
Of course, now it will be the party in transition that is breaking the promise and since Campbell has no more to lose, he could care less about political fallout anyway. It is sort of a fitting end to the final chapter of his time as Premier. When he was elected he said there would be no HST. Before he quit, he said he would roll back personal income tax so residents would have more money to spend. Since that ploy didn't work there is no reason to follow through on the promised 15% tax cut.
This is just another example of why Canadians have pretty much lost faith in anything that comes out of a politicians mouth.
