Doesn't Know About It
If you are a mere mortal toiling for some company other than ones associated with different levels of government you might have forgotten that city hall would be closed today.
With Christmas and Boxing Day falling on the weekend, of course the privileged among us get the Monday and Tuesday off as well. This will mean that if you are fortunate enough to work for the city you would be enjoying a four day weekend.
It seems that whoever sets up the automated answering system forgot about the extra days off because if you call city hall, you get the nice electronic lady who tells you to hold on the line if you don't know the extension of the person you wish to speak to. Being a bright fellow I only held for two hours waiting for someone to take my call. :^)
