City of Nanaimo Business Survey

41% Of Business Owners 
Expected to Exit Business In 5 Years

The city of Nanaimo and Community Futures of Central Island are asking local businesses to help them develop strategies to support the local economy.

The preamble on the survey says:
With the current demographic shifts in our region it is estimated that 41% of business owners are contemplating exiting their businesses within the next 5 years. In order to support local businesses and succession planning we ask that you complete this short survey. It will assist in future strategies to supporting our local economy. Your future and the future of our community is incumbent on a healthy exit strategy for businesses ensuring we link entrepreneurs with opportunity.
