Sex Assault Composite Sketch

Nanaimo RCMP have released a composite sketch of the suspect in a sex assault that occurred in the early morning hours of Saturday November 27th.

The attack took place at approximately 2:30 AM, on the north bound side of the Highway 19, just north of Poplar St. The female victim was hitch hiking along Terminal Ave when she was picked up by a north bound vehicle, near the intersection of Front St and Terminal Ave. Prior to getting into the vehicle, the female had been at several night clubs down town and had been walking along Terminal Ave in a north bound direction.

The male suspect is described as being a white male in his mid 40's, with a stocky muscular build and round face. He had no facial hair, close set beady eyes and no visible tattoos. He was wearing a grey cotton sleeved shirt, blue jeans, brown belt and brown work boots.

The vehicle driven is described as being a newer model dark grey, 2door pickup extended cab. There were bucket seats in the front which were separated by a console. The vehicle may also have had an outside step.

If you know who this male is, please call the Nanaimo RCMP at 250-754-2345 or Crime Stoppers at 1-800-222-8477(TIPS) or go online at www.nanaimocrimestoppers.com
