YPN Partner With Big Brothers and Big Sisters

"Big Day Out" Clippers Game Dec. 12

The Young Professionals of Nanaimo (YPN) in partnership with Big Brothers and Big Sisters of Nanaimo are planning their first "Big Day Out" this weekend. Mentoring the areas youth is a focus of the YPN and this partnership with the Big Brothers Big Sisters was a natural for the organization.

The first "Big Day Out" event planned for this Sunday Dec. 12 is being facilitated by a generous donation from the Nanaimo Clippers who have donated tickets to this weeks game against the Vernon Vipers at Frank Crane Arena.

There will be members of the YPN on hand giving out information about the Big Brothers Big Sisters mentoring programs which the YPN has taken an active interest in. Most members of the YPN have been fortunate to have a mentor in their lives and have experience first hand the benefit to these relationships.

The YPN is currently planning future "Big Day Out" events and is looking for community partners for the program. For more information please contact either Paulyne Robinson, Program Manager Paulyne@bigscvi.ca or Catrina Elliott, Member of YPN, at bigdayout@ypnanaimo.com.
