Cachet Swivel Chairs by Steelcase Recalled

Nearly 4000 Chairs Recalled

Apparently a front seat support on the chairs can break, posing a fall hazard to consumers. Steelcase Inc. has received one report in the US of the chair support failing, resulting in a back injury.

This recall involves Steelcase Cachet swivel office chairs that have a slotted seat and back design. The recalled chairs can be identified by model number 487 and the date of manufacture, which is printed on a label on the underside of the chair's base. Recalled chairs were manufactured between May 2002 and October 15, 2009.
