City By-Election March 26?

A $100,000 by-election must be held within 80 days of the appointment of the Chief Election Officer. On that basis a by-election will be held on March 26 to find a replacement for the recently deceased Councilor McNabb.

At the Jan. 10 council meeting, council approved the appointing of Joan Harrison as the Chief Election Officer.

    The question now, is who is going to run for a council seat for only 238 days or almost 8 months? What is the value based on the expense rather than waiting until November when there will be more seats changing people, hopefully!
