Caspers Way Site Of Dog Attack
It is being reported in the Vancouver Province that a man walking his two small dogs near a construction site in the 1600 block of Caspers Way, Nanaimo was attacked by two pit bull cross dogs that were in the back of a pick up truck.
The dogs were in the back of the truck which had a cap and open side window, through which both dogs were able to squeeze before the attack. One dog apparently knocked the owner over and began attacking one of the small dogs, when the second pit bull got on the scene the pair of them went after the other small dog.
Only intervention by workers on the construction site ended the violent attack. The injured dogs and owner were rushed to a nearby vet clinic where in spite of emergency treatment the one dog died of injuries sustained in the attack.
Sure hope these dogs do get put away or something. I have 3 children and just found out about this happening on friday it is now Monday and was approached by an A chanel employee who told me of his happpening. I sure am not happy to have heard someone on a walk was attacked and their dogs. I f it had been one of my children it wouldnt of had a gd out come i live not far from where this happen....
ReplyDeleteA ban on Pit Bulls and Pit Bull type dogs is the only answer to keeping these killing machines out of the hands of irresponsible owners. The Pit Bull Ban in Ontario and Winnipeg IS working. It has virtually eliminated Pit bull attacks and fatalities.Legislation that keeps these dogs out of our communities is the only answer. Until then these savage and unprovoked attacks on pets and people will continue.
