Irwin Street Abduction Attempt
Police are seeking the public's assistance in locating a white van with a large red dragon on the passenger side, in the attempted abduction of a 14 year old girl Thursday night on Irwin Street.
At about 8:00 pm the van approached the girl as she walked along Irwin Street when the van approached with a man wearing dark glasses and a black hoodie. When the girl refused his order for her to get into the van, he attempted to grab her through the open van window.
The girl ran home and reported the incident to her parents and police were notified. Anyone with information should call Nanaimo RCMP at 250-754-2345 or Crime Stoppers at 1-800-222-8477.
