Canadians Know What Truly Matters
The English televised leaders 'debate' is scheduled for tomorrow night, April 12, and I am sure eyes all across Canada will be glued to the TV in awe as they listen to our political leaders tell us why they and their party are best suited to guide us until the next election.
The French version of the debate was scheduled to be aired on Thursday night April 14, however that was before the broadcasting gurus realized they would be competing with the beloved Montreal Canadians in the NHL playoffs. Realizing of course that in a competition for eyeballs, particularly in Quebec between our national political leaders and a hockey game involving the Montreal Canadians, there would be no competition and the debate might as well be cancelled.
Instead, in true Canadian tradition, the French speaking debate has been rescheduled for Wednesday, April 13 instead. So we can hear our leaders in English on Tues. night, in French on Wed. night and still catch the hockey game on Thursday night.
CANADA the land of Compromise!
