This popular event is always well attended and thoroughly enjoyed by Nanaimo residents, young and old. If you intend to get parked near the event , you need to get downtown early. There are some road closures along Newcastle Avenue to be aware of.
You could always head downtown early, enjoy a meal at one of the many eateries, or enjoy a beverage of the hard or soft variety and re-acquaint yourself with downtown Nanaimo. We all need to put in early requests to the weatherman, so he will see we get the usual clear skies and balmy temperatures we all like to brag about.
