Cayet Developer In Nanaimo

Cumberland Development Hits The Road

Mr. Evans of the Trilogy group of companies was in Nanaimo yesterday with his business -to- business introduction of a "new town" development in the Comox Valley he calls Cayet.

The development which is a part of the Village of Cumberland has been five years in the making, getting all approvals and agreements in place with the stakeholders in the area.

His company now has the green light to promote and develop this substantial project which will add up to 1300 homes and 800,000 square feet of shops and services to the Cayet property. At this stage Mr. Evans is seeking to get developers and builders onboard the project which is still in a very early stage of growth.

It is interesting to note that during Mr. Evans presentation he said Cayet would be making available attractions which would entice Nanaimo residents to travel north, making Nanaimo part of the retail trade demographic for this project. How times are a changing for Nanaimo.
